We're moving again!
Well, there's a good chance that we'll be moving again. Off back to sunny Californiee it seems to be. We're awaiting the news of whether we've got the Dept. of Energy grant to research our new process or not. And if we do then it will be back there so that we can hook up with the great minds we need to.
And of course, when we move we'll need to work out where we can get our Direct TV from. We have Direct TV when we were there last time and it's by far, at least it was for us, the best option available of all the different satellite, and cable systems.
Fortunately, since we were last there and flailing about trying to find our what different systems there were and which was the best for this or that there's been an advance in Directv information. Just click through any of the links to see what I mean: it's now really easy to find out who can supply and sort out the service wherever you are. See, here's the Direct TV in CA page.
Couldn't be simpler, eh?

Satellite TV
OK, so we know that free to air TV programming pretty much sucks. And we also know that cable TV ain't all that much better. For the cable company has a monopoly in your area and the only way you can get a different service is to move house. Well, yes, sorta.
Because there is an alternative, DirecTV. And as the competitor they try and awful lot harder. In fact, the DirecTV offers can be pretty stunning. There's a whole series of different possible deals. From a simple but family friendly package (with none of those channels that you really don't want th children to see) all the way through to massive packages with all the channels that you do want to see (even if you still don't want the children to see them).
There's also different deals depending on how many rooms you want to have it in, whether you want High Definition or not, which movie channels. In fact, there are so many different ways to slice and dice the offers that it's probably better than you click through here and go and look at the DirecTV deals.
You'll never have to worry about there being nothing on again.

David Tennant leaving Dr Who
David Tennant is leaving Dr Who.
I am surprised that the neighbors did not complain more about the wailing and gnashing of teeth when this sentence was uttered in our house. We are distraught it is the only way to describe it.
Tennant said of his departure, "I don't want to outstay my welcome." Well David that could never be true, but we will try to understand and come to terms with your departure.
Now we have a year to come to terms with out grief and worry over who will fill the Doctor's sneakers. So who could be the new Doctor? Could the Doctor regenerate into a woman? Is that something Steven Moffat could be contemplating? If so, which British television actress could carry the role.
I will leave the question out there for all Doctor Who fans to ponder.

Heidi Klum dropped at Emmys
Heidi Klum was dropped by Tom Bergeron during a skit performed at the Primetime Emmy awards.
Klum was supposed to swoon into the arms of Dancing with the Stars host Bergeron but he dropped her.
The result was a spectacular bruise on Klum's thigh which she flashed to any cameras willing to take pictures. As much as it hurt it did not stop her getting on down at an after-awards party.

Laurence Fishburne - CSI?
Word on the streets of Las Vegas is that Laurence Fishburne will take over from William Petersen as the head honcho in "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.". Fishburne is in now not-so-secret talks with the bosses of the hit crime series.
Now it was a sad day in our house when the news broke that William Petersen was leaving, but after a small period of mourning it dawned on us that Catherine Willows played by Marg Helgenberger could become top dog. The man of the house was very excited!.
Let's hope Willows doesn't feel the same way. Fishburne may find instead of solving the case, he is the case!

Shayne Lamas dumps The Bachelor
Shayne Lamas who won the heart of The Bachelor, Matt Grant has dumped him. Shayne Lamas, daughter of Renegade star Lorenzo Lamas, called Grant to tell him the wedding was off.
The reason she called, well, the New York Post caught her cheating with Las Vegas media mogul Justin Weneger.

Billie Piper A Snore In The USA?
Billie Piper seems to have sent the US critics to sleep, in the main, as Belle De Jour in The Secret Diary Of A Callgirl. As I've said previously, it did nothing for me as I'd already been reading the blog which I thought was far better. You do have to give Showtime credit for trying to provide entertainment from other countries, unfortunately British Tv is pretty dire at the moment across the board.
