Paris Hilton no love for William

Paris Hilton says she is not in love with Prince William.

Paris who is currently in the UK says she met Prince William but they have not stayed in touch.  "It’s not true that I love Prince William.  I read that I asked him over to spend New Year’s Eve with me. That’s just silly."

Well that is good to know as Princess Paris just sounds silly!

Paris Hilton shops to save us all

Poor Paris Hilton!  Now she cannot even do a bit of shopping without questions being raised in the Australian government.

Paris is in Sydney to host a New Years Eve party for which she is being paid $68,500 which for her is probably very little money.  So Paris decided to go shopping and spent $3,488 in a 40 minute shopping spree.

This caused uproar with local charities accusing Paris of callous excess.  Have the Australians never been designer shopping before.  It really does not take long to spend $3,500 these days.

Paris defended her 'splurge' saying, "I'm in Australia, I think it's important to help out, you know, the economy out here, everywhere in the world.  And what's wrong with doing a little shopping? It's New Year's, I need a New Year's dress."

Now here is the weird bit, Julia Gillard acting Prime Minister was questioned about Paris's shopping.  Why?  Is there nothing more important going on in Australia at the moment.  Nothing at all?!?

As part of the ITV2 autumn line up, Paris Hilton is bring her US reality television show to Britain.  Based on her US show Paris Hilton's New Best Friend,  potential best friends will need to live up to the Paris Hilton lifestyle.  This involves tripping down the red carpet and partying the night away.

Paris says she is doing the show in the UK because, "I'm in the UK all the time, but of course I can't bring all my friends, so I've decided to look for a new BFF across the pond."

Nothing to do with earning a few bucks then!

Paris Hilton is being sued for non promotion of the 2006 flop, National Lampoon's Pledge This!.  Court papers filed in Miami claim that Paris Hilton was paid $1 million for acting services and "reasonable promotion and publicity" of the film.

Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. are asking for the return of $75,000.

Given that the film is 90 minutes long, she was paid $171 a second for her acting during the film, so it seems they wanted 7 minutes of acting (that it was a good movie) in front of journalists.

Mean old Paris couldn't even give them that.

Paris tells us how she will solve the energy crisis and paint the White House pink if she is elected.  Paris also lays into McCain calling him "wrinkly," "old," and "white-haired dude,"  His readiness to lead is also questioned at the beginning of the video.

John McCain shot himself in the foot by using Paris's image in a recent campaign video.  Both Paris's parents and her grandfather have donated the maximum number of dollars allowed to his campaign coffers.  There is a good chance they won't be doing that again.

It seems like the latest celebrity bug is helping children, with Paris Hilton making what has been termed, "an extremely generous donation," towards the building of a medical building at the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. This has apparently come about because of her 23 day incarceration last year for violating probation on alcohol-related reckless driving charges. She Told Larry King that the experience caused her to re-evaluate the role partying played in her life. She said she wanted "to help raise money for kids and for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis."

At least she is as good as her word on this one.

Paris, The Puppy And The Tantrum

Surprisingly, I have a lot of time for Paris Hilton. Okay, the word "bimbo" could have been coined for her, but she lives for the present, there are very few apparent regrets and I don't think she is a bad person, at least not in the way the media seems to imply.

So I'm surprised that a pet shop refused to sell her a puppy, and I can understand why she would throw a tantrum. Odd as it might sound, I think most people get pets on an impulse, I certainly did, but I'd be lost without my cat now. My girlfriend gets her pets on impulse, so why shouldn't Paris Hilton be allowed to buy one on an impulse? It isn't like she is unable to afford to  look after properly.

Okay, maybe the tantrum was a bit overdone, but she is female.

The whole thing has been sparked off by the way Paris looks in a few photographs. It could be that she's just a little thin and this makes her belly look a little stouter. It could be of course that Paris is actually pregnant. Me, I'd say that it's probably a result of this season's fashions: the way that dresses and tops are cut right now they conspire to make almost all women look pregnant.
