Ancient Foods

Interesting little thing about the oldest known recipes from these isles. Nettle pudding apparently, along with roast hedgehog. One small note:

Old recipes thought to be less in favour today are garum and liquamen, sauces made from fish guts and heads...

Entirely happy to be corrected but I thought that both Worcestershire and HP Sauces could be described as variations of garum?

Yep. Have a look at the Wikipedia article on the Asian fish sauce called "Nam Pla", especially the section headed "Western".
