The iCar? From Apple and VW?

The iPod has transformed the lives of commuters, shielding them from fellow humans with a wall of sound. The iPhone is helping to make businessmen accessible around the clock. Now the iCar could become the Next Big Thing: essentially an attempt to create an office and entertainment centre on four wheels, further blurring boundaries between work and private life.

Comes with a 300 page petrol bill perhaps?

Oh great! So now not only will the boss expect me to work at home in the evenings and at weekends, but while I'm driving to work and back.

Someone please inform my family that the reason I am likely to die in a car crash was because I will be making a really "important" Powerpoint presentation for Monday's meeting.

ps Since using a cellphone in the car is pretty much illegal everywhere, how long before working on your in-car work station does too.

Sounds really great. Not for me, though. I can barely manage the "remote" to my TV.
