Insane Sir Salman Rushdie Post of the Day

UK Daily Pundit:

Maybe someone should set up a petition insisting that supporters of Rushdie pay for his 24 hour police protection. Although I suspect that's one bandwagon Pinko Finko and the chatterati won't be so quick to jump on.

Well of course not. Da Fink* and the chatterati are not absurdly stupid, that's why. The first duty of the State is to protect its citizens from violence from abroad. You know, keep Johnny Foreigner at bay. The second to protect them from violence at home.

That's why we have the damned institution, dipstick.

* Yes, Daniel Finkelstein does indeed employ me at times.

Maybe we wouldn't have had to fork out £x million if the dildo who was Home Secretary when the fatwa was issued (Douglas Hurd?) had had the guts to confront and prosecute Sacranie and his book-burning mates.

Tim, as you know some of us have dedicated our lives to emphasising the point...

Its almost worth it to see the various moslem groups getting their collective panties in a bunch over his knighthood.

Were it up to them the only sword Mr, sorry Sir Rushie would be seeing is one about to take his head off.

As I understand it, Sir Salman (hate his writing, but yay!) does contribute to the cost of his police protection.

Has anyone noticed the similarity between Dame Jade Goody and Sir Salmon?

Both have brought a lot of money to media interests, both get death threats, both induce burning protests in ex-colonies, both went to elite universities, both get considerable coverage of what they do in public, both have interesting "partners", both have rudely challenged "sacred cows".
