Nice joke - but it is dangerous to under-estimate George Galloway.

I lived in Glasgow 18 years ago, and his corruption was legendary even then (I later had this confirmed privately by a very senior New Labour government member) - yet nobody has been able to nail him, tho' plenty have tried.

Galloway is - in his way - a formidable orator: quick-witted, capable of landing bludgeoning verbal blows, and utterly without principle or scruples.

At some times, in some places, GG would be distinctly in the running as a populist dictator in the Stalin/ Mussolini/ mafioso-mould.
