Well, there was John Reid as Home Secretary...yes, I suppose you're right he hasn't done anything for us has he?

Quite - as regards domestic policy. It could be argued that without TB things would have been even worse? But he has totally failed to reform the public sector, which is the Achilles Heel of British life.
TB wasted several years doing little more than spin, and could never make up for that lost opportunity, although he did try very hard to do so.
But - I think Blair's 'legacy' will be his strong stance against terrorism internationally. Especially the new strategy of foreign policy, led by the US and UK, which is to spread liberal democracy internationally - this is of huge importance, potentially. The biggest issue of our era, perhaps. Well done Tony!
On the home front his biggest intervention may have been just a few months ago - in reversing multi-culturalism and asserting an ideal of integration in a context of high levels of immigration. I approve - and it think it will be of great benefit for many years.
