Forgive me if I'm wrong but I think you might have tripped up here, Tim. "...a libertarian conservative activist. He is a notable political blogger, who writes about politicians of the United Kingdom parliament." I read through and couldn't see where he's described as a politician, unless the SDP reference is it.
