Shortie at the ASI. You know this "longest working hours in Europe" stuff? The "work life balance"?

Strange that epople are worrying about this when leisure hours keep increasing and that we and the continentals have about the same.

In short, its another economic myth that seems very very persistent.

Seems to me to vary more with age than whereabouts. In my first five years at work I had two weeks holiday. Not two weeks a year like those bone-idle Yanks, two weeks in all. Now I couldn't cope with those hours. More efficient, though.
