Matt Yglesias: Race Hatred.

Who would have thought it? Matt Yglesias showing racial prejudice?

...this simply reflects my deep-seated and irrational dislike of English people and things...

Did someone feed him a Ginster’s pasty or something? That, or perhaps some of our other culinary delights, might have caused it I suppose.

Love the first comment though:

Aren't you a big fan of the NHS?

Pasties? ENGLISH?

I wouldn't go west of the Tamar any time soon if I were you...

Tim adds: Wouldn’t dream of it, being as I was born just east of it. Know what them buggers are like.

If you fight everyone, and beat them all, then some are bound to dislike you for it. Or maybe its because we were the most successful people of the second millenium - they are jealous because they are not English and never can be. Oh yeah, and we're the best football fans in the world - we sing more songs and we drink more beer.

"Er, the English, er, aren't a, er, race"

Compare Daniel Defoe's delicious, satirical poem: The True-Born Englishman (1701):

Yglesias is also an anti-Catholic bigot.
