The Queen’s Menage A Trois.
This is obviously all over the papers today.
Austria has launched its presidency of the European Union by unveiling posters of naked figures wearing masks resembling the Queen, Jacques Chirac and George W. Bush.
The Reuters report gives the URL of the .pdf of the posters but I can’t get through to the site. Obviously jammed with people trying to have a look.
Some of the colonial cousins seem to be remarkably ill informed about the world beyond their shores. I’m assuming this is the headline Associated Press put on it as it appears on two independent sites. From Chron.com:
Aussies Pull Art Depicting Queen, Leaders
and from ABC:
Aussies Pull Art Depicting Queen, Leaders
with the sub-headline:
Embarrassed Australians Pull Art Project Depicting Queen, Blair, Bush Engaged in a Sexual Act
Both reports then start off :
Vienna, Austria.
So full marks to

» Australia/Austria - Whatever from it comes in pints?
Tim Worstall found a great news blunder from the AP wire. In case it disappears without correction, the sub-heading reads "Embarrassed Australians Pull Art Project Depicting Queen, Blair, Bush Engaged in a Sexual Act" in regards to that stupid, obscene... [Read More]

Good catch on those headlines, Tim. Though I have to say in defense of my fellow Yankees that there are a fair number of our former imperialist opressors that can be just as clueless when it comes to US matters. It's not as if they need to be otherwise, seeing as how they don't live here and everything.

(BTW, if I have any readers who get the dead tree Houston Chronicle a photo of that real world, rather than screen capture, headline would be greatly appreciated).
I'm afraid you'd be disappointed. It's in a sidebar of various wire stories, under the headline, "Offending images of leader yanked."
It was under the subheading, Austria, so they got it right.
You'd also be disappointed because I can't seem to get a decent picture of it.

After those Aussies dissed Arnold I swore off Foster's and Kangaroo meatballs.
