Slightly Weird.

I have to admit to finding this a little strange.

Googling (via Google News) myself (yes, I know self-absorbed to the point of ridicule) for any mentions there might be in the world of media, you know, like there’s this book thing out, a piece in The Times yesterday, and something a little odd.

Techcentralstation is listed as a Google News source but The Times is not. Or, perhaps, the bots can read TCS but not The Times.

What’s up with that?

Google News is pretty idiosyncratic. There was something of a scandal earlier this year when it emerged that they had some sort of neo-Nazi hate site listed as one of their news sources.

Google news is similiar to their search where no preference is given to certain sources. If this is the future of news things may get interesting.
