Dopplegangers.

You know there’s this idea that we’ve all got dopplegangers out there? People who look exactly like (or scarily alike) ourselves?

I’d just like to point out that I have not taken up a new career as a photographic model. While this, from the back page of The Spectator, was spookily similar (although not as handsome, of course) as myself a few years ago it was  sufficiently similar to have my parents calling up to ask whether I had posed for such a shoot a few years ago (not telling how many!).

The face is a little wrong, the wrong glasses, never worn either rings or boots like that although I did, in fact, have exactly the same jacket and the hair and the beard are about right for some (indeterminate number of) years ago.

Spookily similar to fool my own Mum, eh?
