Yes, I know capital values and GDP are different. The real comparison should be between Google's profits and Gross Domestic Product. That is, the value added either within the company or the country.
A much smaller list.
$ 105 million for Google last year so the 1,907 staff of Google add more value than the entire populations of the following countries in total :
NIUE ISLAND South Pacific Oceania Australia 7,600,000.00
TUVALU South Pacific Oceania Australia 12,200,000.00
SAINT HELENA ISLAND Western African Africa 18,000,000.00
WALLIS AND FUTUNA South Pacific Oceania Australia 30,000,000.00
MONTSERRAT Caribbean North America 31,000,000.00
Or roughly 43,000 people.
Yeah, sounds about right. Google's workforce is 20 times more productive than the various inhabitants of four small island nations.

If you really wanted to compare google to a
countries GDP, you would also need to factor in the labor compensation of google employees.
roughly 1,907 * $50,0000 = $95 million
+$105 million profit resulting a GDP of
around $200 million of value added.
It is difficult to find info in company filings on compensation of employees and determine their true stature against GDP. I am also so tired of seeing so many web sites and books that compare company revenue to GDP. Economics should be a requirement in high school.
