Academic Freedom is Only Skin Deep
Via the Speculist a disturbing report on the constrictions of academic freedom.A dermatologist is fired because he stated that a little sunshine is good for you. Well, Duh !. Vitamin D anyone ? Ever heard of SAD ( Seasonal Affective Disorder ) ? Those who live well north bathe in little UV lamps to stave off both the disorder and to generate the vitamin .
Sheesh, getting fired for telling an obvious truth.
