How to get traffic for your blog or website

This is of course the most difficult part of the whole new media experience. Yes, you can create a great site, write the most superb articles, but there are also some tens of millions of other people out there doing exactly the same thing. So how can you actually get some of the hundreds of millions of web surfers to come by and see what it is that you''re doing?

You might, as some did, simply start blogging 8 years ago and thus be one of the well known and entrenched bloggers: or you might be a large company and thus get good traffic whatever you do. But for all the rest of us who aren't either of those, what is it that we can do?

Luckily, a great new resource is available to teach us all how to do these things.The Traffic Plus. It's rather worth checking it out for it does explain, in simple and easy language, how to get that traffic you desire.

The first and most obvious benefit is the amount of time you can save: instead of having to reinvent the wheel you can see which tactics have worked elsewhere and how you can use them yourself. Even more importantly, you can see what didn't work and thus what you shouldn't even bother trying.

Having been around a long time as a blogger myself the instructions do give you what you need to know so it's very definitely worth a look.

Montana Fishburne Playboy pictures

Not satisfied with being dragged up on prostitution charges and with making a commercial porno tape, it seems that Montana Fishburne is trying to set up the perfect tifecta: shw's been posing in her birthday suit for Playboy.

There's no detail as yet as to whether Playboy will actually use either the photos they have or that they'll come back again for a full shoot. Nor, of course, how much, if anything, they're likely to pay.

As we've said before around here about the porno, it might indeed be a good way for an unknown to break into the world of fame and movies. But when you're the daughter of a famous actor you simply don't need to do that. You can get all the screen tests you want simply by getting Papa to phone around his friends.

So, whether or not the Montana Fishburne Plaboy pictures ever see the light of day or not: she's still going about it all the wrong way.

Michael Douglas has throat tumor

Sad news today as it is confirmed that Michael Douglas has a throat tumor.

The verteran actor has announced that he has a throat tumor: quite why is not know (it never is with cancer) but it is thought that it might be linked to his light smoking habit over the decades.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS, the Hollywood movie star, has cancer, his spokesman announced last night.

Doctors have discovered a tumour in his throat. He will now undergo an eight-week course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

From what we understand the tumor has been caught early and should respond well to the predicted eight week program of chemo and radiotherapy. Douglas himself says he is confident about his prognosis.

We all love to know who is reading our stuff and we can do that by checking our logs and so on. We can also sort of see who is linking to our stuff...again, by checking the logs. However, what if there were an easier way of seeing who it was/is that is referencing our blog, copying from it, adding to the conversation?

Well, in fact there is, something called Blog Copy.

It's trivially easy to use (hey, even I managed to do it) and it's a great way of managing the conversations.

It's also worth using another way too: you can see who is scraping your content and using it without adding to the conversation. You've got to know people are doing this before you can stop them!

Fantasia Barrino sextape

Quite why people keep making these sextapes I'm not quite sure. The latest celebrity to get caught out by her penchant for filming the two backed beast is Fantasia Barrino. She was a winner of American Idol way back when.

She's supposedly been seeing a married man and now his wife is suing for divorice. But the problem with the Fantasia Barrino sex tape is that if it does exist and it doers turn up in evidence in the case then:

The fun part about all of this is that if the Fantasia sextape actually exists, and can be shown in court, then it will the evidence needed to show that she is a "homewrecker". And in North Catolina that's just what is needed for the soon to be ex-wife to get not only alimony but some of Fantasia's assets too.

It just doesn't seem worth these sorts of complications, having a sex tape lying around, but people seem to keep making them. There's no news as yet as to whether she was wearing crotchless panties or not but no doubt as and when the tape does surface we'll find out.
