Getting that needed science help
OK, so we all know that the internet is going to change our lives....the thing is though that no one's really quite worked out all of the specific ways in which the internet will change our lives. One where it's all just really beginning is in education. Think about what that usually involves: everyone travels to a central point where someone stands up and talks.
With the internet, why do the travelling to a central point? Why not just webcast it all?
Well, yes, OK there are going to be problems. For example, what about those who need to ask questions, who need ehlp? Perhaps even private tutoring? Well, that can be done online too. In fact, there's a great little company offering just that: Chemistry help and even, much more useful really, chemistry answers.
Yes, of course, they do other sciences as well: physics help and physics answers. They've also got a huge set of maths offerings which you can access through their sidebar.
I really do think that this is going to be the future of education: once everyone's on the net then why does everyone need to go to that central school every day? Why not learn at your own pace with the help of people online?

Michelle Bombshell McGee
Michelle Bombshell McGee is a bit of a turn up for the books.
She is what is known as a tattoo model. A model with many tattoos that is, not one who models for tattoos.
OK, there are enough of those who fill the tattoo magazines each week....no, the thing that is bringing Michelle Bombshell McGee her fame currently is that she seems to have been having an affair with Sandra Bullock's husband.
Currently there's only really her word for it in the piece linked but Bullock herself has decided not to go to England for the premiere of The Hurt Locker there as a result of the story. So perhaps there is some truth?
Certainly Michelle says she knows Jesse James well enough to tell us all that he doesn't wear condoms or underpants and that he's "well endowed".
Pics of McGee are also to be found through the link at the top.

Where to get your glasses
This piece over at The Examiner I find very interesting. Partly because I also write for the same site but also because I'm a happy customer of the same company he's talking about. I too get my eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. And so (because I buy them for her) does my wife.
I was at first slightly dubious about their claims to be offering glasses at such low prices: $8 a pair for prescription glasses? But I tried them out, spending $30 on a few pairs just to try and see whether they really do live up to the hype. And, well, yes, they do. The ones I'm wearing now came from them so this post is brought to you courtesy of Zenni in some manner.
Quite simply it is possible to get high quality prescription glasses at low cost.Just get your prescription (and make sure that you also know the pupillary distance!) and start looking for the syle you prefer. As Eric points out, you do have to wait for them to be manufactured and sent to you but that's a small problem with such low prices.
I would add that there's only one thing that annoys me about the site. You choose your style then enter your prescription.....and you have to enter it again for each pair you buy. This can be a problem for not all styles are available to everyone...very thick lenses for example can only go in certain frames. It would be easier to use the site if you entered your prescription and then were shown the styles that are compatible.
But other than that, cheap and good quality glasses. What's not to like?
