So, which webhost should you use?

I think we're all pretty much up with the idea that we need to have a presence on the web these days, yes? There's no real way that a business can survive without offering at least information to potential customers...we do all understand that I think?

The next question though is what is it that we're going to do on hte web? Simply point out that we exist and work in a particular location? Or are we going to offer a service to current customers? Enable them to search for manuals, book in for support? Or are we going to go further and offer to sell products over the web?

Once we've decided how the web fits into our business model (or perhaps how we fit our business model to the web) then we can make the next set of decisions about who to use for web hosting. And this is important and it's worth visiting the WebHostingGeeks site at that link to see what they can do to help. For the different business models will mean that we're looking for different things in a web host.

We might want cheap and cheerful, or perhaps lots of free tools, or perhaps reliability is most important, or security, perhaps even bandwidth. If we're going to sell directly then we would want to see the best ecommerce hosting packages for example, not the best email servers. If we're to use the web more for marketing, then the position would be reversed.

It's a very useful website and recommended if you're looking to place your business on the web.

Curry cures cancer

Curry cures cancer: or if we're to be accurate, one part of one of the spices in one type of curry can cure one type of cancer.

Not nearly so exciting that way of course, but that does seem to be more like the truth of the matter.

The spice turmeric is what gives certain curries their distinctive deep yellow colour. One part of that is curcumin and it's been found that this molecule can kill certain cancers cells simply on contact.

So, mine's a Balti then I think....

Fast search engine review

There is a huge variety of file search engines which help to get needed resources. You know, anything from the lost .pdf manual for your phone through to all of the delights available over the peer to peer networks.

But which one should you use? How about one made by those skilled enough to use only the best ones with no ads, high load speed and clear pages?

Here we offer the biggest search engine Kvaz.com and the fastest file searcher Xlinker.org which finds the most rare and exquisite resources, those hidden away in the little corners of the internet.

Of course, taking our cue from the grandaddy of all search engines itself, we've made sure that there's a simple and clean interface and that there's very few ads: meaning it's all clean loading a fast and simple to use.

Michael Jackson autopsy photo

Well, we all thought this would happen: the leak of a Michael Jackson autopsy photo. When spomeone that famous dies in a town that fame obsessed like LA, mix in a few cellphones with cameras and, well, you're pretty sure that something is going to surface sometime.

The thing is though, at the moment it's only a question: has a Michael Jackson autopsy photo been leaked?

Chief Coroner Ed Winter told me that officially his office had no comment on any aspect of the Jackson autopsy, including even disclosing the number of people present at the postmortem examination, much less their names.

“I know who was there and I know what pictures were taken,” he told me. If he saw a copy of the photo being flashed in Los Angeles, he could determine, he said, whether it was authentic—the left cheek scar was potentially important, as even if it was faked, there would be few people outside of Jackson’s entourage who knew about that private, identifying mark.

If the picture is real, “we would conduct an internal investigation here, and one would be done in all likelihood by the police department and the district attorney.”

The thing is, that's about the official photos: the ones taken of Michael Jackson as part of the autopsy itself.

What about someone who took their ccell phone in htere?

A .pdf search engine

Now this is something that looks really useful. A PDF Search engine.

Now, you might think that that isn't all that useful but it is. For there's a huge set of documents that are not really well served by the current search engines: those that are in the .pdf format. So an engine which only looks for those and allows you to find them is indede useful. Think of all those manuals, textbooks and guides which are in this format. Finally you're able to find them in a useful manner.

With the traditional engines you're forced to hope that someone has labelled them properly: now you just don't have to worry about that.

Andre Agassi took crystal meth

Andre Agassi took crystal meth, that's the sensational revelation in his new autobiography.

He says it started in the 90s and that he then lied to the tennis authorities when he was found out at a random drugs test.

But the amusing part of the story is that he blames his starting on his about to be marriage to Brooke Shields. Seriously? Marrying a babe like that, or being about to, turns you to drugs?

Much more on the Agassi crystal meth story here.

The Jimmy Carr outrage

Jimmy Carr has sparked outrage by claiming that because we've got so many amputees from the wars then we're going to have a great team for the 2012 Paralympics.

The outrage might be a tad manufactured: for if you go look at what the squaddies themselves are saying about it there's a thought that not only is it a funny joke (if very black and macabre) but one that may well have come from those soldiers who have been wounded themselves.

Click through to see the source of that allegation.

Elizabeth Prophet Obituary

Those folks over at The Telegraph are sly dogs, aren't they? They've done the obituary of Elizabeth Prophet, a self styled, umm, prophet, of one of the more Doomsday oriented American churches. You know the sort of thing, stockpiling weapons in a cave in Montana, hearing the voices of Jesus, Bhudda and so on. And what's the final line of that obituary?

For some years she had been suffering from dementia.

Indeed she had been in a clinical sense: but how many years in total?

Saving money online

We all know how to save money at the bricks and mortar stores. We simply keep an eye on hte local newspaper and clip out the coupons that appear in it for money off at those bricks and mortar stores. But with so much shopping now moving online, how can we do the same thing with hte online stores? Their coupons don't appear in the newspapers.

Well, not unnaturally, their coupons appear online. For example, take a look at this site for Office Depot coupons.Money off all srots of things that you might need to set up the home office: heck, it's worth having a look to see if you can save money for the main office too. Or maybe Best Buy discounts are more your thing? Or do you prefer Dell savings? Perhaps Walmart coupons to get money off their everyday low prices?

The thing is, just about every online retailer now makes these sorts of offers and that website will have them. It's worth keeping an eye on it on a continual basis: there might be a special offer on something you cannot quite afford but which is, with the special offer, within your budget. And if you're about to buy something online it's always worth looking at the site to see if there is a coupon for what you've already decided to buy.

Hey, saving money is good, right?
