Finding the best webhost
OK, we all know by now that if we're going to get our business running properly in this modern world then we need to have a presence on the web. We might only be wanting to give people information about ourselves, we might go further and put all our technical and maintenance information up or we might be trying to actually sell product: but we do have to be on the web.
Good, so we know that: the next thing we've got to work out is who is going to do our web site hosting? And to work that out we'd best make use of the experts. Click through that link and you'll see the Web Hosting Geeks site and they are indeed the experts.
It's not just a ranking of web hosts either. What they do is take you through the whole thing. For example, this post on their blog, shows you the whole 101 of webhosting. What you should be looking for, what is important to consider and so on.
Then there are other sections to help you make a choice as well. For example, this section on best forum hosting. That's very useful if you want to host a forum, not so much if you don't. But that's why you should, if you're looking for hosting, use the site. For they'll take you through the important things, take you through what you need to think about, and then show you the right solution for your particular needs.

Jaycee Lee Dugard
Jaycee Lee Dugard, or at least a woman claiming to be Jaycee Lee Dugard has just turned up at a Bay Area police station.
This might be thought not unusual, but the point is that Jaycee Lee Dugard was kidnapped from her South Lake Tahow home 18 years ago, all the way back in 1991.
Who kidnapped her? Who has now let her go? Why now? Where has she been all this time?
The police, the FBI and her family are all taking it seriously that she may indeed be Jaycee Lee Dugard and there's a press conference scheduled for later this morning.
For example, her family have spoken to her and they seem convinced.

Kathleen K.C Neill
Kathleen K.C. Neill has got herslef into an interesting position.
At first sight she's simply managed to get herself arrested for stripping off in public. But then it all becomes a little more interesting. For, as you can see if you click through that link, she's been taking part in a whole series called "Nude Yorkers".
Something which was inspired by the photographer's love of the nudes at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. And where was Kathleen being photographed, by that photographer? Yup, that Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The Voluntaryist
For those, like myself, who lean heavily towards the libertarian side but do not really quite get there The Voluntaryist Website is an interesting read. It's very definitely libertarian, not my own sort of classical liberalism.
The quality can be, as with my own writing, variable, but there's a number of interesting pieces there. For example, on renouncing US citizenship. Surprisingly there's quite a large body of law on this: the US makes it a great deal more difficult to stop being a citizen than most other countries do. And the truly difficult thing is to get free of the clutches of the IRS, they're the really tough arm of government to avoid.
Then there's a nice historical piece on the Whiskey Rebellion. If you've just made the transition from rebel to President of a new independent state what do you do with people who rebel against you? Correct, you shoot them, as Washington did.
A third is this looking at the morality of taxation through the lens of the Catholic Church's vision of morality.
Yes, theft is theft even if it is the State doing the stealing.
I wouldn't say that every article will appeal to every reader but there's certainly some decent thought provoking stuff there. Worth a look.

Billy Gillispie
Billy Gillispie has just managed to get himself back into the news headlines. He was last there when he was arguing about his cvontract with the University of Kentucky as the basketball coach.
Today's news though is less fun. He's just been arrested again (yes, again, for the third time) for DUI.
His excuse when found driving along the road "erratically" was that he'd just been playing golf.
At, umm, 2.45 in the morning.

Help with debt management
In these difficult and troubled times there are many who need help with controlling their debts. Rather a lot of us need such help actually. That's why you might want to have a look at this debt management plan site.
Now the laws about debt management vary around the world and this site is aimed at people in England and Scotland (the two countries do have different laws about it all, yes). There are a number of different ways that you can bring excessive debt under control: the first and most obvious being help with a mortgage which is in arrears, even if you've got as far as facing repossession hearings.
There are also useful things like IVAs, (trust deeds in Scotland) where you make an agreement with your creditors to change the structure of your debts. Essentially, you show that there's no way that you can pay all that you owe: your creditors, realising this, agree that half a loaf is better than insisting upon a whole loaf and getting nothing. So you might end up cutting the amount you owe, or spreading it across more time to bring down monthly payments, or even get a better interest rate on some debts.
But the real point is that there are many ways in which you can deal with debts that threaten to overwhelm you and it's worth clicking through that link to see how the professionals can help you.

Repower America
These poeple are Repower America are near insane.
For they are forgetting (if they ever knew) one of the most important points in economics. That of opportunity costs.
They're prancing around insisting that their plans to do this or that about energy system are a great idea because they will create lots of jobs.
But jobs are a cost of a scheme, not a benefit. So the 2.5 million jobs they say will be created are an argument against their plans, not one in favour.
Yes, it is backed by the unions.

Where to get help with algebra
Are you looking around for Algebra 2 help? Perhaps you think you could do with a little free online algebra help? Excelelnt, good, glad we can help then, for all you need to do to find such is to click through any link in this blog post.
Some think that for algebra help you need an algebra tutor: this is true, in one sense, you do need someone to explain things, to go through things with you. Just as with any other field of learning. But you don't in fact need an actual physical being to be with you during your algebra tutoring.
In fact, what you really want is a system where you can go at your speed. Quickly in the parts you understand or have not problems in grasping, more slowly in those areas where you find it tough. Which is exactly what an online algebra tutor helps you in doing. So why not check it out, help is only a click away!

Chapaquitic
A short note for all those burning up the intertubes looking for "Chapaquitic".
The word you are looking for is "Chappaquiddick". Yes, I know, strange spelling, but that's the way the name of the place looks after we've turned it from the Algonquian language into the English alphabet.
Now you know the spelling, you'll be able to find out more of the story of Mary Jo Kopechnik. A sad tale but an apposite one for the current times.

Where to get your maternity clothes
Thre's always something of a problem with pregnancy...well, of course, there are several. But one that seems not to have really quite been solved is what to wear during the pregnancy itself. Well, until now that is, for finally, maternity clothes can now be found that are interesting, stylish and perhaps most of all, reasonably priced.
Here's an example of the sort of thing I mean.
That really isn't like the normal, boxy, drab sort of thing that you see in the stores now is it? And there's more to it that that, of course. For this comes from an online retailer, Kiki's Fashions (just click through the link above to get there) and of course this means that you can get great prices: as much as 75% off the more normal bricks and mortar store prices.
And, yes, there's even more than that on offer. They rotate and change their stock often, which means that you're not stuck with the same old stuff all the time. And even more than that, as a friend of this blogger you can get another 20% off just by using the code "blogfriends" at checkout.
It's almost enough to make you want to get pregnant really, isn't it?
