Depressingly good PR tactics

There's good PR tactics and then there's excellent such tactics. However, there can also be depressingly good PR tactics. The one in question today comes from a German brothel.

A Berlin brothel has come up with a novel way to negate the impact of the global economic crisis and target a new group of customers at the same time -- offering a discount to patrons who arrive on bicycles.

OK, so this is excelllent because it is in half the newspapers around the world. So far so good.

However, what makes it depressing is that cycling is a known cause of erectile dysfunction: that's right, all that pressure from the saddle can make it difficult to actually do anything.

So the actual offer is a discount to the one group of potential customers who are unlikely to be able to make use of it.....
