Getting Credit

One of the more difficult things to work out is how to get credit. We need to do so of course, for you can't even rent an apartment without some sort of credit record. I was once in a position where I had no credit record at all: this is actually worse than having a bad credit record. The solution was to find someone, anyone, who would lend me money, no matter what the rate, and then pay it back. This created a credit record and then from that point on things were much, much easier.
