Dyngus Day

Dyngus day, now that's something I'd never heard of.

That different groups celebrate different days, well, that's obvious, and a Brit like me knows that better than most. I never really did manage to explain to Americans when I lived there what Boxing Day was all about. The day after Christmas, that is.

Well, Dyngus Day is the day after Easter, the monday, and it's a celebration in certain parts of the US, mainly those areas with a high concentration of Polish Americans. So, umm, happy Dingus Day then.
