Casey Aldridge

Casey Aldridge is the live in boyfriend of Britney Spears' younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Casey Aldridge is also the father of Jamie Lynn's upcoming baby: she's currently 12 weeks pregnant. Casey and Jamie Lynn met at church (would you believe?) and have been dating for about a year:

His name is Casey Aldridge. He’s 19 years old and apparently met Jamie Lynn at church years ago (hahahahahahaha) and the two have been dating since. You can view Casey Aldridge’s Myspace page here, but of course take that with a grain of salt as it could be a fan having some fun. Casey’s mother spoke with TMZ earlier today, saying that “everything is fine” (of course it is, her son just hit the jackpot). No word on if Aldridge is in college or doing anything with his life, but now I’m sure he’ll have the cash to do whatever he wants. Let’s just hope he doesn’t decide he wants to put out a hip-hop album.

Well, quite, let's hope he has absolutely no ambitions in show business at all.

Jamie Lynn and Casey Aldridge have known each other for years, and evidently they met at church (heh heh). Spears said that the pregnancy was a shock to both she and Aldridge.  Gee, really?
...

There is very little known about Casey Aldridge except for the fact that he has been Jamie Lynn Spears’ long time boyfriend. He has blonde hair and stands six feet two inches. His father Mark works for a local paper mill in Cleveland, Tennessee. Casey surely needs to get himself a lawyer, as he is 18 years old and Jamie Lynn is 16. Hmmmm. Doesn’t sound too good.

Yes, now that is something to think about isn't it? Just what are the statutory rape laws in that State?

The background to the Casey Aldridge story:

Britney Spears' 16-year-old sister, who stars as a schoolgirl in Nickelodeon's popular TV show "Zoey 101," is pregnant.

The cable channel confirmed a report in the forthcoming edition of celebrity gossip magazine OK! that Jamie Lynn Spears is expecting a child.

"We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being," Nickelodeon said in a statement e-mailed to Reuters.

A high school student who lives in Louisiana, Jamie Lynn Spears reportedly met the father, Casey Aldridge, the son of a Tennessee papermill worker, at church. Jamie Lynn Spears' personal publicist was not available for comment.

And here's how the story played out across the wire services:

And

And the confirmation that Casey Aldridge is indeed the father:

big differance between brit and jamielynn, jamielynn has been with her bf for 2+ years...... accidents do happen...

Anne, and others, how naive are you? Accident's happen? The pill is almost bullet proof...the pill and a condom are an even better "belts and suspenders." As a father, who planned his daughter's arrival, accidents only happen when you are careless. Two years or twenty, there are no "accidents" when it comes to pregnancy...only stupidity.

i can understand why many people are upset over the recent news about Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy at 16, but there are bigger issues about teen pregnancies. Jamie is 16 not 11. i know she is a teenager but she is soon to become a woman. she IS a woman. There are millions of KIDS everday that are pregnant at 10, 11, 12, 13 , 14, 15, and lower. Those kids are just that. KIDS. Jamie is a younge woman. And as for the Casey age difference, they were dating long before he turned 18, so there shouldn't be an issue over the 2 years of age difference, since younge kids get pregnant everyday by guys who are 3, 4, 5, 6 years older than they and older. Though I am Not sexually active, i respect Jamie's decision on keeping the baby. I'm behind you Jamie Lynn!

First off just don't have sex till you are married then you won't have to worry about getting pregnant at 16.... its not rocket science people!!!! Don't have sex... don't have to worry about consequences of it!!!! I'm 16 and if I were pregnant right now I would freak out!!! I have a life ahead of me! So don't do it... its not that hard!

I do agree with her for not having an abortion and taking on this responsibility.

all of you, get a grip! accidents shouldn't happen... save sex for marriage. seriously, i don't have much respect for people who think it's ok to casually be intimate with a boyfriend/girlfriend. if it's love, it can wait. why risk diseases? not smart.

personally I believe jamie and her sister are both trailer trash. As for all of you who are saying accidents happen, accidents wouldn't happen if you were practicing abstinence. Alot of teens these days need to stop being whores and sleeping with boys because it's supposedely "cool". Little do you know many people think you all are sluts.

I respect her for going through with the pregnancy. Its a responsible reaction to her actions. Most 16 year olds would opt for a secret abortion rather than face the humiliation.
