Obama Sex Scandal!

It might be that there's a Barack Obama sex scandal about to break.

So I was down in DC this past weekend and happened to run into a well-connected media person, who told me flatly, unequivocally that “everyone knows” The LA Times was sitting on a story, all wrapped up and ready to go about what is a potentially devastating sexual scandal involving a leading Presidential candidate. “Everyone knows” meaning everyone in the DC mainstream media political reporting world. “Sitting on it” because the paper couldn’t decide the complex ethics of whether and when to run it. The way I heard it they’d had it for a while but don’t know what to do. The person who told me )not an LAT person) knows I write and didn’t say “don’t write about this”.

If it’s true, I don’t envy the LAT. I respect their hesitation, their dilemma, deciding to run or not to run it raises a lot of difficult journalism ethics questions and they’re likely to be attacked, when it comes out—the story or their suppression of the story—whatever they do.

I’ve been sensing hints that something’s going on, something’s going unspoken in certain insider coverage of the campaign (and by the way this rumor the LA Times is supposedly sitting on is one I never heard in this specific form before. By the way, t’s not the Edwards rumor, it’s something else.

So there's definitely a sex scandal secret out there about one or other of the current crop of Presidential candidates. So why think it's Barack Obama? Well,

So does Ron Rosenbaum. I thought the Dark Star was the Edwards affair allegation.  But Rosenbaum says  "everyone in the elite Mainstream media" knows about another juicy scandal that the LAT is supposedly sitting on. I guess this is proof that I'm not in the elite, because I don't know what he's talking about. ... My vestigial Limbaugh gland tells me it must involve a Democrat, or else the Times would have found a reason to print it. ...

There's only three important Democratic candidates: Hillary (and there ain't going to be a sex scandal about her: not unless she's been boffing Fred Thompson's wife or something), Edwards, who we are told it isn't about and Barack Obama. Which leads us to this:

My guess is that it involved Obama. The betting market Intrade gives him only a 12.3% chance of winning the Democratic nomination. This seems very low given that he is even with Hillary in the polls to win Iowa and he has lots of cash and that many Dems are worried about Hillary's chance of winning in a general election. It almost seems as if people with inside knowledge are betting against Obama. Perhaps reporters are sitting on their information so they can continue to make Intrade bets.

That logic (sorta) convinces me: when prices get that far out of whack then yes, I'm ready to believe that there's something there. So just what is the (rumoured, note) Barack Obama sex scandal then?

Note Obama's declaration that 'I am not a perfect man' in his latest speech

It's Obama. Hillary'screw is trying to leak it using Republicans, so they can claim their own innocence in the matter.

The desperately want this out before Iowa, and LAT isn't playing.

If Hillary's crew is seen as orchestrating this story, that could outrage black Americans, hence the need to use Republicans and claim a Vast Rightwing Conspiracy.

Probably

Illinois Senator (and 2008 Democratic presidential candidate) Barack Obama has gone on the record opposing Article 125, the military's ban on sodomy.

In response to a Gay City News article last week, Senator Obama's campaign now says he opposes the sodomy ban. The paper says it will publish an update to its original story, reflecting Obama's position, in its next issue, on April 19th. The Senator joins Christopher Dodd, Dennis Kucinich, Joe Biden and Mike Gravel in opposing the ban.

In an earlier post, SLDN staff attorney Aaron Tax pointed out that "One unforeseen consequence of the ban is that because of the threat of consensual sodomy prosecutions hanging over service members’ heads, when two service members are alleged to have engaged in consensual sodomy, there is an incentive for at least one to cooperate with the prosecution and claim the activity was nonconsensual.

why does New York Times ignore gay sex scandal with drugs about Obama Hussein when he was in Illinois government, says Globe this week

Senator obama is a honest, upstanding citizen. Everyone who is spearding these lies about him is just fearful that he WILL win the democratic nomination, and presidency as well. Let's stick to the facts and stop trying to smear his campaign!

This is what America has come too, lies and rumors of sexual misbehavior. Obama is a very intelligent and upstanding father and husband, Hillary needs to stop or she will loose not only the election but the little respect that some people have for her. Let's talk about what her husband did while married and president.

Larry Sinclair accuses Barack Obama of homosexual acts and drug use in video posted on YouTube

WASHINGTON – The electrifying presidential campaign of Barack Obama faces a new challenge – a Minnesota man who claims he took cocaine in 1999 with the then-Illinois legislator and participated in homosexual acts with him.

When his story was ignored by the news media, Larry Sinclair made his case last month in a YouTube video, which has now been viewed more than a quarter-million times. And when it was still ignored by the media, Sinclair filed a suit in Minnesota District Court, alleging threats and intimidation by Obama's staff.

Sinclair, who says he is willing to submit to a polygraph test to validate his claims, will now get his chance – thanks to a website offering $10,000 for the right to record it and $100,000 to Sinclair if he passes.

"My motivation for making this public is my desire for a presidential candidate to be honest," Sinclair told WND by telephone. "I didn't want the sex thing to come out. But I think it is important for the candidate to be honest about his drug use as late as 1999."

Stop the madness people. OMG!

People forget, the Clintons saw us through the years of Pricess Diana's death, the capture of the Uni-bomber, the Oklahoma bombing, Jackie O's death, Bosnia, African uprisings, cleaning up the first Bush's mess (lowering the deficit) creating surpluses. All this and much more, while we watched Bill Clinton bury his own mother. I'm sorry, but I find strength in the Clintons and I do trust them, although they show a human side like any politician and they are not perfect. I personally, had a good 8 years during the Clinton years! They are America's solution and definately for the American people! It's not the Clintons who turned their backs on us, it's us who turn our backs on them. The Clintons are willing to fight for us, but why not lend a hand once and awhile to help those who helped you out? Self-centered hypocrites! I don't know Obama Hussane and he never did anything for me, he is a nobody, a gamble, loose cannon or perhaps a trojan horse waiting to sneak into the White House (muslim) who knows, but why take a risk to a high chance "if"? Our children, our neighbors children and future children who count on us adults to gamble recklessly with their futures! Obama is a high risk unknown....a stranger, too new for my blood!

Posted by: Natalie | Mar 30, 2008 6:25:27 AM

I agree with you Natalie 100%. Obama is too new and a stranger among strangers with just words spilling out of his mouth. The Clintons we know and we can not afford to gamble with our children or grandchildrens futures. The new kid on the block (Obama) is a stranger! We teach our children NOT to talk to strangers, but turn around and trust our childrens future with this stranger? He sounds too much like a traveling salesman trying to sell his snake oils to the gullible.

All three candidates were on the ballot in Florida, and the current polls show about the same, COUNT THEM NOW! you can have Michigan doover, but Florida is ready. If you do not do this fairly, I know Hillary supporters will not bend, we are very strong headed people just like Hillary, and we will all vote McCain in order to save this country. You think it is just 28 % of us, just wait and see DNC, it will be more like 40% of us. Florida voted fair and square, you MUST include them or you may just make 50 million new republican votes, after all Hillary and McCain are both in the middle of the road so we will just have to livewith McCain for a while if that is what it takes to save our country from this treasonist movement. And again, this is all coming from a Proud Black Male American, so put that in your pipe and smoke it Howard Dean. There are plenty of us Black folks that love our country and don't want handouts and work hard and don't try to use the race card to steal from others.
Besides, do you have any clue of how many repubs and Indeps are faking their vote until the general election and pretending to supoort Osama in the polls just to stop Hillary, my guess is in the millions. He will lose not only Florida, but miserably the whole nation. Right here in Idaho I have ran into at least 20 that I know of. Can you imagine what the real number is? I don't care how you do it but if you shit on Hillary, we all go with the safest route, McCain. Howard Dean, you don't need those flaky Osama supporters anyway, many of them are too high on drugs and collecting welfare to show up to vote anyway. Futhermore, they were not even including themself in the democratic proccess until he came aboard. Hillary voters have always been involved, we are the reason she is running, we made her, if she ain't there because of that treasonist anti-american racist Nazi pig, then we must and will vote for America over our own desires. We are mostly mature people and you can bet, we don't waiver, we are bull headed just like Hillary, so if we say it, you can bank on it, unlike the flaky opposition. We ARE the democratic party, they are our guest, and they are trying to take over something they don't even understand. They think this is a joke, a popularity contest, because they haven't learned or know anything about life yet.

If the DNC thinks that Hillary's supporters will go for Obama if he's the nominee, they're mistaken. Hillary and Obama are not interchangeable. Besides, Hillary's supporters don't owe anything to the party. The democratic party and the Obama camp have been so unfair to Hillary, so disrepectful, so undemocratic (Florida and Michigan not beeing counted just shows the cynicism and the totalitarianism of the party) that there is no way on earth Obama is going to get all her supporters if he gets the nomination. The DNC is being suicidal. And yes, Mc. Cain is preferable to a racist, unpatriotic, unprincipled elitist like Obama who can't even win the states needed for the presidency. His recent Pennsylvania loss - despite his money, his followers' tactics, the bias of the press in his favor - is one more proof that he can't defeat Hillary.
