Book Cover

Bookcover

But, umm, I thought the whole point of the story was that Ms. Marcotte didn't survive a politically inhospitable environment?

Just wait 'til the race hustlers get a load of that King Kong-esque book cover..! ;)

The racial overtones of the King Kong cover are creating quite a stir at Pandagon. The comments are quite funny. Amanda sticks her foot in her mouth again.

My belief that "Amanda Marcotte" is a flavour of ice cream seems, at first glance, to be rather undermined by your revelation. Unless that cover is a cunningly veiled allusion to "monkey's blood", the bright red sauce that used to be sploshed on our ice creams when I was a boy. That's it explained then.

It's hilarious. The usual suspects, who would have all queued up to lambast a bookcover like this from anyone they considered a political enemy, are forced to defend their blogging goddess using the same arguments they usually poo-poo when used against them, while Marcotte herself is forced to fall back on excusing herself from responsibility because she didn't choose trhe cover and then whine that she's being attacked because of her 'success'!

Battle is joined, and they then all pile on each other like weasels fighting in a sack.

Best... thread... evah!!

Thanks for pointing out the hilarious
thread.

I always thought Liberals only turned that
stuff on to annoy normal people. Turns out
they never have a night off.

She's pulled the cover at the request of the publisher and it's being revised at the requests of the feministas and POC.

Also so as not to offend gorillas with the feet/toe caricatures.

Hilarious.

Oi! Weasels do not fight in sacks. They make sweet, sweet mustelid love.

Liberals, on the other hand...
