Does time exist independently of human construction and perception?

The future does not yet exist. The "present" is just a name we give to the most recent past and the past is gone.

We cannot know what time "is." It's simply what we perceive as the separation between "cause" and "effect"--an outgrowth of the fact that these two cannot be perceived as identical and simultaneous (and similarly with "want" and "satisfaction").
