Gays Married to Straights
Amusing that this should pop up the day after we were all told that Ted Heath was gay (or not, as the case may be) followed by some speculation about who else in politics might have been/is.
ABC News runs a piece on gays married to straight people. In the section on how to tell whether your husband is gay (Radley Balko offered "if you are also a man" as a clue) this advice seems pretty straightforward:
If he enjoys watching gay porn movies and surfing gay porn Web sites.
Well, yes, I'd think that was a signifier of something, at least. However, this doesn't quite ring true:
Along with other high-profile examples such as evangelist leader Ted
Haggard and former Congressman Mike Huffington, there are an estimated
2 million to 4 million gay people who are or have been married to
straight spouses.
I'm not sure that Mike Huffington really counts as gay. Wasn't it just that he liked a little Greek now and again?

The ABC checklist is crackers.
"If your husband thinks you are a nymphomaniac or "pushy and aggressive" because you want sex twice a week." - People have different sex drives. Or maybe she just got fat.
"If sexual activity steeply declines within the first few years of marriage." - Having children sometimes does that to a relationship. Or maybe she just got fat.
"You're always more sexually aggressive than your husband." - Men should be sexually aggressive towards their wives? What if they like being dominated? Or maybe she just got fat.
"If your husband is turned off by the thought of touching your vaginal area or performing oral sex on you." - Try washing it.
"If he is excessively homophobic, mocking and imitating other gay men." - He may just be a bigot.
"If he brags about gay men complimenting him on his looks." - You'd get shirty if he bragged about women complimenting him.
For some reason you can only be gay or straight in the eyes of the media, never bisexual. Not if you're a man anyway.
