Reminds me of the old joke about Eva Peron being booed in the streets on her way to an official function in a European capital.
She made her way into the reception, a little shaken, and found herself in conversation with an elderly retied admiral.
"Can you believe it?" she cried. "The crowds in the street called me a whore!"
"Don't worry, madam" the old seadog responded, "I haven't been on a ship for twenty years and people still call me Admiral."
