BlogAds Code Lesson

Following the help of several here and also Alex and Tyler over at Marginal Revolution, a tip for those running BlogAds.

Make sure you have expunged from your template the old BlogAds code (proxy.blogads stuff). As of a couple of days ago that's been making sites run extremely slowly. Getting shot of it brings them back up to normal speed.

Of course, BlogAds did tell us to do this some months ago but then who ever listens to experts, eh?

Getting "shot" of it? I've heard "shed" and some say "shut" but never shot.

Yep, you're loading in a flash now, Tim.

your loading slow issue is back again. The RHS stops after the Creative commons license so I assume the problem is whatever follows that.

OH and you seem to have two technorati links for some reason

I'd say getting shot of it. I suspect its one of those things which varies from area to area. Shot, shut and shed all sound similar.
