Tory Press Release
Hot off the presses from Brussels, some Tory MEP no one has ever heard of (Giles Chichester) says this:
An EU poll revealed a majority of people believe decisions on new energy challenges should be
taken at an EU level*.
In his own notes he says, in reference to the *:
* In a Eurobarometer poll last year, 47 per cent of people polled said they would prefer EU level decisions on new energy challenges like supply security, growing consumption and climate change, while 37 per cent and eight per cent prefer such decisions on a national or local level respectively.
47% is a majority now is it? Shit, Giscard was right and the French really did pass the Constitutional Treaty.

Note to Tim: Giles Chichester is the son of Sir Francis Chichester and MEP for the south west of England. He's my MEP. Not that I had much choice who got the job... just which party. Damned closed list business.

Some time ago I had some correspondence with Chichester when he was then my MEP. He pursued a course of action against my specific instructions and when I remonstrated he replied with the rudest letter I have ever received. Since then I have never lost a chance to blacken his name and look forward to the day when I can do the self-serving and pompous shit a real disservice.

"Since then I have never lost a chance to blacken his name..."
With disingenous statements such as the one Tim Worstall has highlighted issuing from his desk, he's helping you out a bit there... ;)
