British Heroes

So we’re looking for a British superhero, someone to match up against Superman and his like.

There's (sigh!) Earl Grey, an aristocratic tea-drinking sleuth; Stiff-Upper-Lip Man, a crime-fighter who outwits brash villains by drawing on deep reserves of British phlegm; Living-in-the-Past Man, accountant by day, intensely reactionary superman by night; Passive-Aggressive Man, a cowardly braggart who trounces his enemies by apologising profusely to them; and Captain Cricket, a sporting gentleman who solves crimes during the tea interval and when rain stops play.

Those all look terribly English (as well as not being all that good although the apologising one has some merit) so, what would or could be the nameand attributes of a decent British superhero?

Winnie the cigar smoking bulldog who incapacitates by widdling on shoes? Hhhm. No, we need something that people can dress up as to go to parties. ChavMan, berobed in Burberry?
