Vincent Cable.

Vincent Cable has a piece outlining the Orange Book Liberals. Much to agree with there, certainly for me, it is that strand of liberalism that most appeals, more than the statist idiocies of either Labour or parts of the Tory party.  Won’t be campaigning for them, of course, as such ideas make up no more than 10/15% of the LibDems, the rest being all things to all men.

This is intruiging though:

This point, at least, has been understood by David Cameron. I don't intend to take up his invitation to join his party. But, I appreciate the fact that he has asked, that he calls himself a fellow liberal and that he recognises my party's role. By the same token, he is very welcome to join us.

Yes! Why not Dave? Run for leader of the Lib Dems as well!
