Dominic Lawson Fired.
So Dominic Lawson has been fired from the Sunday Telegraph. Something of a pity as I rather liked both the paper and his own writing, but then 10 years as an editor is a long time. Time for a change no doubt.
He’ll obviously be back freelancing for a time but if he does he’s going to have to do some work on his language. These simply broke the needle on the clicheometer:
But friends said that he was "devastated" at the news, which came as "a bolt from the blue".

Don't be so hard: it's quite a feat for a journalist not to say that he's "decimated".
