Bumper Stickers For The Election Season.
In the mail from Ferrand Stobart, some ideas for car bumper stickers for the election season. Couple of nice ones:
BRITAIN SINKS
LIKE NEW LABOUR
and my favourite:
COME BACK GUY FAWKES
ALL IS FORGIVEN
Any other ideas?
Update: From Tom in comments, perhaps we should be arguing for the liberation of Brussels? Last person to do that was the British Army (along with Canadians) so the sticker would read:
MONTY, WHERE ARE YOU NOW WE NEED YOU?

There used to be a bumber sticker one could get in Atlanta that went, "General Sherman, where are you now that Atlanta really _needs_ you?"
So who last destroyed Brussels? Or should it be expanded to the last attempt at Euro hegemony, Rome? "Attila, O' Attila: where are you now that Europe really _needs_ you?"

THERE was a sound of revelry by night,
And Belgium's capital had gathered then
Her beauty and her chivalry, and bright
The lamps shone o'er fair women and brave men.
A thousand hearts beat happily; and when
Music arose with its voluptuous swell,
Soft eyes looked love to eyes which spake again,
And all went merry as a marriage bell;
But hush! hark! a deep sound strikes like a rising knell!
Did ye not hear it? -- No; 'twas but the wind,
Or the car rattling o'er the stony street;
On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when youth and pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.
But hark! -- that heavy sound breaks in once more,
As if the clouds its echo would repeat;
And nearer, clearer, deadlier than before;
Arm! arm! it is -- it is -- the cannon's opening roar!
...
Although that was the eve of Waterloo, so the rest needs rewriting.

Happy Blogiversary, by the way.
