Portugal Notes.
Here in Cascais it is clear blue skies, bright sunshine and some 50 oF. For those like me who have lived in colder climes, sort of havering between a t-shirt and a light jersey as appropriate attire for walking this blog’s canine security operatives. The Portuguese are of course wrapped in layers of wool, hats, gloves, scarves and for those who have them, fur coats. Which brings us to one, um, high maintenance, middle aged lady we met while out, for Sam, one of this blog’s CSOs was intensely interested in the fur she was wearing. M’am, I would suggest having that coat checked as I fear that the mink or whatever your amour told you it was has a very canine origin quotient.

"havering"? Havers, you were swithering. If you must use Scoticisms, do have the courtesy to use them accurately. Harrrrrumph.

If you go to Southern California during a rainstorm, with the temp perhaps at 40-45 F, you'll see the natives wrapped up like Eskimos. And they'll be watching the wet stuff coming down from the sky with the same expression on their faces as Moses probably had when watching the Red Sea part.
