Europhiles and the Chancellor.
So Gordon Brown has a few fawning Europhiles round for breakfast and they lay into him about his scepticism. Ho hum.
Mr Clegg said: "I told the Chancellor that he sounded like he believed Britain was the only country in Europe that could run a market economy."
Mr. Clegg is a "leading Liberal Democrat". A word from the wise sir, countries do not "run market economies". Market economies run themselves within the framework structured by the State (all those interesting things like property rights, free speech, freedom of association, blah blah blah) and what is required from politicians such as yourself is to get out of the way. That's probably all you need to know about the Liberal Democrat's platform on economics.
