Legal Advice.

There are times when it makes sense to go to court. Times when it does not. It's often difficult to know which is which, unless you have a helpful Judge like this one:

"Why have the parties engaged on this insane course of litigation given the sad fact that their marriage has fallen through and sensible arrangements must be made for the future?" asked the judge.

I have a feeling that when a member of the Court of Appeal (for Americans, one below Supreme Court) tells you that the litigation is "insane" you would do well to pay off the lawyers, sit down with a chequebook and a drink and just sort the damn thing out yourselves.
Even Jarndyce v. Jarndyce didn't get that sort of comment.
