Ted Kennedy and David Friedman
It's not every day that one can mix Ted Kennedy, Jeff at Protein Wisdom and David Friedman into one post.
The Professor, over here postulates that average human IQ's are rising ( as they are ) because modern obstetrics allows children with larger cranial capacities to be born live. He further muses that larger cranial capacity is connected with greater intelligence.
Read Jeff's interview to see why this idea does not hold : if it did, then Ted would be a genius, right ?

This data, while interesting, does not either confirm or refute the Friedman conjecture.
Ted K's head is a statistical outlier.
Ted himself is an out-and-out liar.
