Gay Marriage

Michele points out :

Hey, check it out! The sun is still hanging in the sky. No tidal waves, earthquakes or massive fires.
Looks like we can finally cross gay people getting married off of the list of things people think will bring on armageddon.

It was Diocletian who made homosexuality a capital offense in the Roman Empire : as everyone knows such behaviour causes earthquakes.
Amazing really, just as Abu Ghraib, Nick Berg, Sudan on the Human Rights Commission, insert latest moral outrage here, makes one think that the human race will never change, up comes evidence that we can actually learn something sometimes. It may have taken us 1,700 years since Diocletian but I find it uplifting to think that sometimes, just sometimes, we might actually get there.
So good luck to everyone getting married, of whatever sex, race, nationality or persuasion either you or your partner may be. People tell me its hard but worth it, never quite had the courage myself.

Just wait until tax season next year. It should be interesting.

I think my favourite take on the whole thing was from some guy who said he could't wait for the first gay divorce.
