Steel Blogging
Now here's someone who has managed to "get" the idea of blogging about his company. I give you the Future Steel blog. Now, yes, obviously, he wants to sell you his steel framed buildings. Very good they look too, sounds and secure (they're based on arches so are strong) and they come with a 30 year guarantee.
Well, excellent, but there's not that much there to fill a blog being updated on a regular basis now is there?
So what he's done on the steel building blog is run it as a propoer blog. Here's the things I find interesting (like this piece on an albino bear, or this on the dangers of eye injuries while fishing).
Now you might not think that helps seel buildings very much but you'll be surprised. Of course, there will be some who find the blog and click regularly to see what quirks he's found this week. There'll be others who, when they find it doing a search for steel buildings will think, hey, this guy's alright (any edge in business is to be used).
But perhaps most importantly, Google will see that it is updated regularly and this gives the site as a whole greater value in the search results.
